We recognise that, as women, we encounter many unique and challenging life transitions. Relationship difficulties and work challenges, pregnancy and motherhood, perimenopause and menopause, bereavements, traumas, the list can seem endless. At these times, having the opportunity to reflect on what is happening for us, to connect with the emotional impacts, and discover how we can learn to adapt is vital. Having a safe space in which to do this enables us to build our sense of strength and resilience and ultimately, it encourages us to continue to grow despite what life has thrown our way.

Supporting Women to Flourish and Thrive

At Women in Bloom Psychology, we specialise in psychological assessment and treatment for women. Our mission is to work with women at any stage in their lives to help them navigate the challenges that life can bring. In seeking psychological therapy with us, our aim is to work alongside you to help you improve your quality of life and enable you to flourish and thrive. We work collaboratively with each individual to assess your needs and develop realistic treatment goals that will help you achieve the changes you want to make. Using evidence-based practice and drawing upon over 15 years of clinical experience in women's mental health, we adopt a trauma-informed approach to ensure the women we support experience safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness and empowerment.

Depression

Low mood, loss of interest and enjoyment in things, and finding day-to-day life more difficult can all be symptoms of depression. For women, depression can show up at different times in our lives. It can present as part of our menstrual cycles (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), during pregnancy (prenatal depression) or after giving birth (postnatal depression). We can help you to better understand what you are experiencing and teach you new ways to manage your thoughts and emotions.
